
The European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) represents over 60 European organisations, promoting highest standards in fact-checking and media literacy to combat misinformation for the public benefit. Committed to the principles of freedom of expression, the EFCSN and its verified members work to ensure public access to trustworthy, fact-checked information and educate the public on assessing information veracity in the public sphere.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Members & Community Manager for our diverse group of members, starting January 1, 2026. This full-time position will also manage our application and re-certification processes. Responsibilities
- Manage application processes to the EFCSN including reviewing applications and assessments and assigning assessors to applications.
- Attend to our group of independent assessors.
- Recruit, onboard and guide additional independent assessors if necessary.
- Communicate status of applications and assessments to the Governance Body of the EFCSN and the EFCSN Coordinator.
- Organize training events for fact-checkers.
- Support the EFCSN Coordinator in communicating and working with members.
- Support the planning and execution of conferences and events.
- Take care of various administrative tasks, such as keeping databases up-to-date.
Requirements
- Very good understanding of journalistic standards and practices.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Considerate manner of working with an eye for details.
- Fluent in English – both speaking and writing.
- Good knowledge of French welcome.
