Who we are

Disinformation threatens democracies, distorts public debate, and weakens trust in facts.

The European Fact-Checking Standards Network is the voice of European fact-checkers who uphold and promote the highest standards of fact-checking and media literacy in their effort to combat misinformation for the public benefit.

At the EFCSN, we promote the highest standards by evaluating fact-checking organisations, building capacity to fight falsehoods, advocating for information integrity across Europe, and fostering a thriving fact-checking community.

The EFCSN is building a necessary infrastructure for information integrity in Europe.

Our Work

The EFCSN strengthens fact-checking in Europe by upholding rigorous standards, building shared tools, advocating for information integrity, and fostering a connected, collaborative community.
