EFCSN is launching a mentorship program for new fact-checking organisations in Europe

The European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) is launching a mentorship program to help small and/or emerging fact-checking organisations in Europe meet the Code’s standards and apply to join the network.

In this program, experienced fact-checkers from the EFCSN will provide the mentorship and training your organisation needs in order to comply with the standards in the Code. We’ll also provide guidance in filling out the application to join the EFCSN.

Our first application window for 2023 has already closed and the next round will run from May 1 – May 31. See here for more details on how to apply.

This mentorship program is open to fact-checking organisations, or fact-checking units within larger parent organisations, who are set up primarily for the purpose of fact-checking, focus on one (or more) European countries and concentrate on debunking claims on topics of public interest.

If you are interested or want to learn more about the mentorship opportunity, please to write us here by April 20: [email protected]
